GALLERY OF IT DOESN'T FIT
What is the Gallery of It Doesn’t Fit? It’s my collection of photos that don’t really have a place to call home. They don’t fit nice and neat into any one specific category. Instead, they create new categories just waiting to be filled with new photos by me.
Wondering was taken in the Marin Headlands overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. The man on the bench has obviously ridden his bike up to this resting spot in order to take in the view.
Parking Meter emphasizes vertical lines meeting horizontal lines. Notice that the Parking Meter is perpendicular to the sidewalk.
How many times do we see a fern leaf in color? Did you know that in black and white it takes on a more regal appearance?
I found Flag in Distress on an old mining dredge in Alaska. The flag is tattered and upside down and has probably seen better days.
Coming to Shore was photographed on a beach in Provincetown, MA. I couldn’t believe the scene that was unfolding in front of me. This older man had quietly dragged his boat ashore after spending all day in the water. The scene and light were fleeting, but I managed to get the shot.
I’m not sure what I can say about Ends. Enough said.
I had the chance to go to Antelope Island while in Utah. The Island is famous for bison, but what caught my interest were the old vehicles that were rusting away.
Pants and Shoes looks real enough, but isn’t. Walking around that old dredge in Alaska, someone decided to recreate a miner sitting on some of the metal girders. What caught my eye were the shoes. They looked as though they could have been from the 1800’s.
City Hall Watcher shows Los Angeles City Hall (in the background) being watched over by an ever so vigilant Angeleno.
All photographs are 11x17 and include an 18x24 matte, ready for framing.
